Healing timeline:
First 48 hours: Redness, swelling, or mild blistering may occur. Frosting typically resolves within minutes to hours.
Days 3–10: Light scabbing or flaking may appear as the skin heals naturally. Itching is common as new tissue forms.
Weeks 4–8: The immune system continues clearing fragmented pigment beneath the surface. Visible fading is usually noticeable by this point. Sessions are generally scheduled 6–12 weeks apart to allow for complete healing.
What to expect after your Treatment:
Before treatment begins, your technician will assess your tattoo, review your medical history, and determine appropriate laser settings. A topical numbing agent may be applied for comfort. During treatment, you may feel a brief snapping or heat sensation as the laser pulses make contact with the skin. Most sessions last between 5–15 minutes.
Normal immediate responses include temporary whitening (“frosting”), redness, and mild swelling. As the skin begins to heal, these effects typically subside within hours.

AFTERCARE
INSTRUCTIONS:
For the first 48 hours:
Keep the area clean, dry, and protected. Apply the recommended ointment as directed. Use cool compresses to reduce swelling. Avoid touching, rubbing, or allowing clothing to irritate the treated site.
For the first 7–10 days:
Do not pick at scabs or blisters. Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, hot tubs, swimming pools, saunas, and vigorous physical activity that may cause sweating. Refrain from applying makeup or skincare products to the area until fully healed.
Long-term care:
Once healed, apply SPF 30+ daily to protect the area from UV exposure. Avoid tanning throughout your treatment series, as it can increase the risk of pigmentation changes and slow progress.
